Our method
A pretty quilt image is not yet a quilt pattern.
Stitchtale is being built around the practical question every maker asks before cutting fabric: can I understand this, print it, and make it?
What we check
A pattern needs more than an attractive render. We look for clear block and layout geometry, a finished size that adds up, a usable color or fabric key, and instructions that match the pattern view. Where a design uses foundation paper piecing, we also check whether sections and seams can be described in a workable order.
What we do not promise
Some quilt ideas need more work before they can be sewn. A photo may have details too small to piece, too little contrast between fabrics, or a technique the pattern cannot support. Check the plan, print size, and fabric choices before cutting; a picture on a screen is not a finished quilt.
How beta fits in
Beta work is deliberately narrow. We share only the supported type of pattern, ask makers to test a block before committing fabric, and use feedback to improve the instructions and the product. A beta invitation will say what is included, what is not supported, and what we need from participants.

If something we publish is unclear or inaccurate, please tell us. We want corrections to be easy to raise and visible in the work that follows.
